emailEmail | printPrint

The DePaul University Art Museum has recently been awarded LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable design and construction principles.

The project included sustainable features such as energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems, storm-water collection, retention and filtering systems, water-efficient landscaping, a partial green roof and reflective roof coatings. These design elements reduce energy consumption by 17.6 percent.

WMA Consulting Engineers, Ltd. and architectural group Antunovich & Associates designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems and provided energy modeling for the new three-story, 15,000 square foot building.
