Nursing mother rooms now available

Faculty, staff and student mothers have access to two on-campus nursing mother rooms at the Loop and Lincoln Park campuses. Suburban Campus administrators can assist mothers on an as needed basis. 

“Student Affairs, Facilities Operations and Human Resources came together to support nursing moms by identifying and outfitting spaces at the Loop and Lincoln Park campuses,” says Julie Nuter, associate vice president. “We recognize that a number of moms do not have offices that allow the needed privacy and wanted to ensure there was an acceptable option available to them. This in line with the university’s new Nursing Mothers in the Workplace Act policy.”

The Loop and Lincoln Park locations offer a private and secure place for nursing mothers. Access is available upon request and requires a key. Nursing moms should go to either the key request location or the campus administrator for access.
